Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AppObit Technologies FZ LLC collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects information when you use AutoForward Text websites, applications, dashboards and related services.

Effective: September 13, 2020Last updated: September 30, 2026
Plain-language summary: AutoForward Text processes communication data only to provide the forwarding, inbox, reply, reporting and automation functions you configure. Because the Service can handle private communications, connect only devices and accounts you are authorized to use, select destinations carefully and avoid sending highly sensitive information unless you have assessed the risks.

1. Scope, operator and user responsibilities

AppObit Technologies FZ LLC (“APPOBIT,” “AutoForward Text,” “we,” “us” or “our”) provides the AutoForward Text mobile application, website, web dashboard and associated messaging, forwarding and automation services (collectively, the “Service”). This policy applies when you access or use the Service or communicate with us.

When an individual uses AutoForward Text for personal purposes, APPOBIT determines how information is processed as described here. When a business or organization configures the Service to process communications on its behalf, that customer may control why the information is processed and which destinations receive it. In that situation, individuals should direct requests concerning the customer’s use of their information to that customer first; we will assist where required.

You must have the legal right and all necessary permissions to connect a device, phone number, mailbox, WhatsApp account, workspace or other service. You are responsible for informing affected people and obtaining any notice, consent or other authorization required for recording, forwarding, storing, analyzing or replying to their communications.

2. Information we collect and process

The information processed depends on the device permissions, channels, forwarding rules and integrations you enable.

Account and billing information

Name, email address, telephone number, business profile details, account identifiers, subscription status and transaction-related records. Full payment-card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored directly by AutoForward Text.

Message and communication data

SMS or MMS content and metadata, sender and recipient details, timestamps, delivery status, attachments where supported, inbox activity, replies and auto-reply templates.

Call and notification data

Call history or call-log details and notification content from applications for which you grant access, including app name, notification text and timing information where available.

Contacts and configuration

Address-book or contact information when a feature requires it, forwarding destinations, filters, keywords, schedules, routing rules, connected channels and integration settings.

Device and technical data

IP address, device model or name, operating-system and app versions, language, time zone, unique installation or service identifiers, network information and configuration details.

Usage, diagnostics and support

Feature interactions, login and event logs, error reports, crash traces, performance information, dates and times of use, support messages and files you choose to provide.

We may also receive information from connected services and user-selected destinations when needed to authenticate a connection, deliver an event, display status, process a reply or troubleshoot an integration.

3. Mobile-device permissions

Depending on your platform and enabled features, AutoForward Text may request access to SMS, call logs, contacts, notifications, phone functions, background processing, network access or related device capabilities. These permissions support the Service’s core forwarding and messaging functions.

  • SMS permissions allow supported messages and metadata to be detected, forwarded, displayed or sent according to your settings.
  • Call-log permissions allow supported incoming, outgoing or missed-call records to be forwarded or analyzed.
  • Notification access allows selected app notifications—including supported messenger notifications—to be read and forwarded according to your rules.
  • Contacts access may be used to resolve names, apply contact filters or help you choose recipients.

You can manage permissions in your device settings. Disabling a required permission may prevent the corresponding feature from working. The availability of particular permissions and features differs between Android and iPhone.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate and maintain the Service;
  • receive, process, sync, back up and forward supported communications to destinations you configure;
  • display messages in your online inbox and support replies or auto-replies;
  • apply filters, schedules, routing rules, summaries, call analytics and other requested functions;
  • connect channels and integrations, authenticate requests and deliver webhook events;
  • create and administer accounts, subscriptions and billing records;
  • respond to support, security, billing and technical requests;
  • monitor reliability, diagnose errors, prevent abuse and improve performance;
  • enforce our terms and protect users, APPOBIT and others; and
  • comply with applicable law and valid legal process.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may be necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with law, protect legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, or act with your consent. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it, although this does not affect earlier lawful processing.

5. How information is disclosed

We do not use or disclose personal information except as described in this policy. Information may be disclosed in these circumstances:

Destinations and integrations you choose

The purpose of the Service is to forward information. Based on your configuration, message content and metadata may be sent to email addresses, other phone numbers, Slack, WhatsApp, CRMs, webhooks, APIs, automation platforms, AI services, spreadsheets or other destinations. Those recipients and services process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Review destination settings and third-party policies before enabling a connection.

Service providers

Vendors may process information on our behalf for hosting, message or email delivery, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, security and payment processing. They receive information needed to perform their assigned functions and are subject to applicable contractual obligations.

Legal, safety and corporate events

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect rights, safety and security; investigate fraud or misuse; or support a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, subject to applicable safeguards.

Google and Firebase services

The application may use Google Play Services, Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. These services may process device, installation, usage and diagnostic information under their own policies. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.

6. Special rules for messaging features

Forwarding and receiving messages

The Service processes messages only as directed by user configuration and supported channel behavior. You should not use AutoForward Text to transmit or store highly sensitive or confidential information unless you have evaluated the security, legal and destination risks.

Public or shared receiving numbers

If a feature uses a public or shared number to receive SMS, do not assume that message content or sender details are private. Do not send confidential, financial, health, authentication or other sensitive information to a public number.

Replies and auto-replies

Reply features may process message context, recipient details, templates and reply content on our systems and through the connected sending provider. Automated replies are sent according to your configuration. You are responsible for reviewing templates, preventing loops and ensuring that replies are appropriate and lawful.

Consent and anti-spam requirements

You may send messages only to recipients you are legally permitted to contact, including obtaining explicit opt-in where required. Unsolicited messaging, spam, deceptive content and attempts to evade carrier or platform rules are prohibited. Business users must maintain accurate profile and sender information and honor opt-out requests.

7. Data retention, account closure and deletion

Message, SMS-log, call-log and notification data processed through AutoForward Text is retained for the period selected by the user. The default retention period is 30 days, after which applicable data is automatically deleted from our active servers. Where settings permit, users may choose a different retention period.

Other account, transaction, security, support and technical records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from backups, security logs or third-party destinations. Information forwarded to a destination is controlled by that destination’s owner and retention practices.

To request account or personal-information deletion, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity or authority. We may retain limited information where required or permitted by law.

8. Security and account protection

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration and disclosure. These measures may include encrypted network transmission, authentication, access controls, monitoring and restricted service-provider access.

No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting account credentials, API keys, webhook URLs, connected accounts and destination access. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, and avoid placing secrets in forwarding rules, screenshots or support messages.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

You can control many processing activities by changing device permissions, forwarding rules, integrations, message-retention settings and account configuration. You may also disconnect channels or stop using the Service.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision concerning a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Submit a request to support@autoforwardtext.com. Describe the request and the account involved. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity, account ownership or authority to act for someone else. Authorized-agent requests remain subject to verification. We will respond as required by applicable law.

10. International data processing

APPOBIT, its service providers and destinations selected by users may process information in countries other than the country where the user or message sender is located. Privacy laws and protections may differ between countries. Where required, we use appropriate measures for international transfers. By choosing an external destination, you direct us to transmit applicable information to that service and its processing locations.

Cookies, analytics, logs and external links

Essential storage. Our website may use local storage or similar technologies that are necessary to remember your privacy choice, maintain security or provide functions you request. The cookie-preference record stores whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics and the date of that choice.

Website analytics. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregated website usage. Before you accept analytics, both services receive a denied storage signal and operate without analytics cookies or persistent cross-page identifiers. If you accept, they may use analytics storage to measure visits, navigation and page interactions. These providers may process device, browser, approximate location, IP-address and usage information under their own privacy terms. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time through in the website footer.

Browser controls. You may also block or delete cookies through your browser. Rejecting optional analytics storage does not prevent use of the public website, although disabling essential browser storage may stop us from remembering your selection.

Log data. When you use the Service—or when an error occurs—we and our providers may collect IP address, device details, operating-system and app versions, configuration, timestamps, crash information and usage statistics to secure, troubleshoot and improve the Service.

External links. Links to third-party websites and services are provided for convenience. We do not control their content or privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.

11. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 provided personal information without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes this occurred should contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, technology, law or our practices. We will post the revised policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
